For 18 years, I've had the privilege of being a part of the fitness industry. It’s a career that has taken me on an incredible journey, and along the way, I've worn many hats. From being a personal trainer and group fitness instructor to managing a reformer studio, personal training mentoring & managing and lecturing across multiple private institutions, each role has been a building block.
I’ve had the opportunity to design and create a Pilates course, assess students as they begin their own careers in fitness, first aid and pilates, and even serve as an expert witness in medical-legal cases.

I've been a project manager, a corrective exercise therapist, and so much more. This list isn't about bragging; it’s about recognising the depth of experience and knowledge that comes with time and dedication.

Over the years, I've learned that knowing your worth...it's about confidence and clarity. It’s understanding the value of the skills you’ve honed, the hours you’ve invested, and the expertise you've gained. It's the quiet assurance that comes from knowing you can genuinely help people because you've put in the work.

We all have unique paths that shape us. For me, these 18 years have taught me that my value is in the sum of my experiences, not just one title. It’s about the quality of the service, the integrity of the advice, and the passion you bring to every session.

So, to my fellow fitness professionals: Take a moment to reflect on your journey. Acknowledge your skills, your education, and your on-the-ground experience. Your worth is in your expertise, your dedication, and your unique story.

Dealing with a knee injury? The road to recovery can feel long, but focusing on the right exercises makes all the difference!
A key player in knee rehab is the vastus medialis obliquus (VMO), or the "teardrop" muscle on the inner part of your thigh. When this muscle is weak, it can throw off your knee's alignment and lead to pain.
Strengthening your VMO helps stabilise your kneecap and can be a game-changer for getting back to the activities you love. Exercises like terminal knee extensions and quadriceps isometrics are excellent for targeting this muscle.
Always remember to listen to your body and work with a physical therapist to ensure you're doing the exercises correctly and safely. Your knees will thank you!

It's a privilege to witness someone's first spin class, to see them finally master a challenging Pilates move, or to watch them discover their strength on the reformer.

This is 36, and I'm officially in my peace era. Been sick all week, but grateful for a day away with Alba Massage, Dinner & Hot Mat Pilates 🎂

🤍Here's to what I'm inviting more of into my life:
✨️Calm: More moments of stillness and quiet, finding peace in the everyday.
✨️Slow mornings: Savouring that first cup of coffee and easing into the day without a rush.
✨️Caring friends: Deepening connections with those who uplift and support me.
✨️Boundaries: Honouring my needs and protecting my energy.
✨️Creative flow: Making more time for passions that ignite my spirit.

Being surrounded by such a lovely community of support and healing was incredibly moving. Witnessing the transformations, the shared vulnerability, and the collective desire for wellness truly reignited my passion. It’s moments like these that remind me of the power of connection and the incredible journey we're all on together.

It's a whirlwind of tiny socks gone rogue, lukewarm coffee savoured in stolen moments, and the constant hum of your little voice filling the air 'Mum, Mum, Mum'. It's wiping sticky fingers, reading the same story for the tenth time with exaggerated enthusiasm, and feeling a love so fierce it takes your breath away 🤍 Sometimes, though, the sheer volume of it all – the endless questions, the competing demands, the constant touch – can be wonderfully overstimulating. But honestly? It's the best job I've ever had ✨️ Wouldn't trade this beautifully chaotic adventure for anything, Orlando, I am so proud to be your Mummy & so grateful for you every single day 🤍✨️
